Greg Hartch
Greg is the Head of Private Investments for State Street Global Advisors responsible for leading our private equity and real estate teams. Greg is a member of State Street Global Advisors' Executive Management Group and previously served as Chief Risk Officer for the firm overseeing investment, liquidity, operational, model and counterparty risks.
Greg joined State Street Global Advisors in July 2016 through its acquisition of GE Asset Management (GEAM). During his 14-year career at GEAM, Greg held a variety of positions including as Chief Risk Officer & Chief Operating Officer, Head of Tactical Asset Allocation, Managing Director of International Real Estate, and Head of Alternative Assets on behalf of GE's insurance clients. He also served as a Trustee of the GE Pension Trust and Board Member of both the Elfun Funds and GE Mutual Funds. Prior to joining GEAM, Greg worked at Deutsche Bank in Global Markets and Goldman Sachs in Real Estate Investment Banking.
Greg has held several volunteer leadership roles including as Board Chair of the Brunswick School and Treasurer of the Fairfield County's Community Foundation. Greg graduated with an AB in Politics from Princeton University, received a JD from the University of Virginia Law School, and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
